The Book Studio is an online project of WETA, the third-largest producing station in the public television (PBS) system and the flagship public broadcaster in the nation's capital. WETA's mission is to produce and present programs of intellectual integrity and cultural merit that recognize viewers' and listeners' intelligence, curiosity, and interest in the world around them.

"The Diary of Anne Frank" on PBS this Sunday

We hope you'll tune in to your local PBS station on Sunday night to watch The Diary of Anne Frank from Masterpiece Classic. The show will also be viewable online for a limited time starting on Monday.
This new production inspired us to put together a "Girls Coming of Age" booklist of both fiction and nonfiction books concerned with young women coming of age and coping with their particular environments. We'd love to hear what you think of these titles and which books you would recommend adding to the list.
