I know that you'll be jealous when you watch this video -- and it won't be because of the amazing array of Italian cheeses and wines surrounding me! It will be because I had the opportunity to meet and interview the amazing Lidia Bastianich, whose latest book "Lidia Cooks from the Heart of Italy" should be on every Italophile's shelf.

If you've never had the pleasure of watching Lidia before, you have a treat in store. Bastianich is a calm, cool, and collected cook who nevertheless exudes passion for her country of origin and its amazingly diverse regional cuisines. We talk about a few of the surprises she found while traveling for this particular cookbook -- but you'll have to watch to find out what they are!
