Quentin is a high-school geek whose comfort reading is a five-novel children’s series called Fillory and Further by the early-twentieth-century English author Christopher Plover. In those books, the Chatwin children find their way into an enchanted land called Fillory by means of a grandfather clock in the house to which they’ve been exiled because of family matters.

I joined Twitter as @thebookmaven in February 2009. In fewer than 12 months, I’ve gained nearly 5,000 followers, followed 900 “tweeps,” and left nearly 14,000 updates (much to the dismay of those 5K followers, one of whom told me my tweets were “copious”). So much has happened for me professionally, personally, socially, and psychically as a result of my Twitter life that I could write a memoir…but much to your relief, I won’t.
